Peer-to-Peer Semantic-based Web Service Discovery: State of the Art

Semantic Web, Web services and Peer-to-Peer technology constitute three relevant topics from which technology for knowledge sharing can benefit. The advantages ranging from the convergence of Semantic Web, Web services and Peer-to-Peer technology into the emerging Semantic P2P services have just been outlined. In this document we give an overview of the recent approaches in literature on semanticbased service discovery in P2P environment, considering in particular two aspects: (i) the semantic overlay that is added to the P2P network; (ii) how this semantics is exploited to find relevant services in a distributed environment.
